Borowski

John E. Borowski is an accomplished and insightful leader with extensive experience in the automotive, transportation, and emergency breakdown industries. He is a proactive and entrepreneurial professional who offers a proven track record of effective organizational leadership with over 25 years as a successful business owner.

John has strengths in communication and relationship-building as well as having solid expertise in automotive-towing industry standards and procedures. He spent over 25 years as the owner and President of John's Sunoco in Holyoke, MA where he guided a 44 member staff and all operations for a towing and recovery company worth $3.2M. John successfully completed 22,000 police tows every year, making his company the Northeast's largest municipality tower at the time. Through this role, he negotiated the first police tow order rate increase in 18 years in Massachusetts and headed efforts targeting the states' department of Public Utilities.

John spent 3 years as the national account manager for RoadOne (a consolidation of the nation’s top 200 tow companies) where he championed sales and promotion initiatives targeting national and regional accounts. He captained the daily operations of their national call center and oversaw the activities of the company's terminal locations. Following that position, John spent 3 years as the Vice President of Commercial Development for the National Towing Alliance. He piloted multiple communication, development, and operational activities, including acting as the towing industry's international ambassador. John conducted national trainings and presentations for American Towman Expositions and served as the operations editor and motorsport operations supervisor for the National Towing Alliance's parent company, American Towman Magazine. Within this role, John launched the first internet-based database of server providers (www.wreckers.com) for towing businesses. John has also worked for Dynamic Towing Equipment & Manufacturing as the Chief Operating Officer where he evaluated and corrected operating costs, streamlined productivity and produced a 10 year plan. Additionally, he improved buying power and product quality all while revamping the distributor network. John also spent time with Xtreme Rescue & Recovery Team, Inc., as the Co-Chief Executive Officer where he was the lead tow instructor, scheduler, and curriculum creator for this training organization for towers and firefighters.

For seven years, John worked as the Manager of Specialty Markets with Jerr-Dan Corporation (a tow equipment manufacturing company). He helped develop products, created training seminars, and wrote articles for American Towman magazine, Tow Canada, TowPartners, and Run Hard. Until June 2015, John was the Director of Municipal Contracts / Scene Supervisor for Hampshire Towing's branch in Holyoke, MA. He oversaw all police ordered tows and all operations on major accident scenes including environmental clean-up. Additionally, he was in charge of staff training on all towing operations within the company. John has since teamed up with Bill Johnson to offer a consulting service based on his decades of experience in the towing industry. He believes that his knowledge and expertise will be beneficial to all members of this industry. Finally, in 2015 John has joined AutoReturn as their Vice President of Tow Industry Programs. This company is the latest cutting edge technology for municipal towing dispatch worldwide.
